The 5th Annual Developing Greater Sydney Summit: A 3 City Metropolis co-located with the Integrated Stations Australia will be taking place from 24-25 September. Since 2014, the event has brought together over 600 attendees from government and industry to discuss infrastructure planning, investment priorities and economic development opportunities across Greater Sydney.
It is estimated that Greater Sydney’s population will reach 8 million over the next 40 years. With the recent collaboration between the Greater Sydney Commission, Transport for NSW and Infrastructure NSW to develop an integrated plan to align land use, transport and infrastructure planning, the future of Greater Sydney is an exciting one. The 2018 event will feature over 30 visionary leaders and decision makers who will discuss what the plan means for the region and map out strategies and plans to meet future socio-economic and infrastructure needs.
The event will also welcome Roger Madelin CBE, Head of Canada Water Development at British Land who brings his knowledge and depth of experience in placemaking and transit-oriented development to this year’s conference. He will provide a detailed context of London's Kings Cross redevelopment and how Australia could implement urban regeneration strategies to similar success.
